The competencies that organizations today require from their human resources are very different from what it was even as early as two or perhaps three years back. These days right from the time an organization recruits new resources into their team, the management trainees are expected to perform like fully functional managers. There is very little time for these young people to learn the ropes. Sadly, most management school’s even today do not prepare their students to take on the mantle of these responsibilities. It is not surprising then that most new recruits either fall by the way side within a year of joining their first job or are left far behind by others in the long run.
One of the reasons this happens is that most B-schools in India do not teach their students how to apply academic knowledge to real life practical on-the-job situations. Another is the lack of international alliances and global educational principles in the curriculum of most B-schools, even some of the highly rated ones.
To address the above gaps and to ensure that IIFM students face the world running, IIFM has done international alliances with two of the leading educational institutes in the world, namely the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego, California (TJSL) and the other being AAFM, USA (American Academy of Financial Management).

These joint programs seek to bolster the knowledge and portfolio of skills of professionals which improves the ability to better serve clients, and acquire management positions. The strategy is to provide them with top graduate education, certification, diplomas and degrees. This partnership includes a Three Way joint Alliance between IIFM, AAFM and TJSL. The expansion into India is an important initiative for us as there is a desire among candidates to achieve U.S.-based degrees and globally recognized professional certification while remaining in India. After discussing the AAFM certification programs & the TJSL program with over a dozen competing providers, IIFM is a perfect fit.
IIFM also offers specialized Financial Management Programs in Wealth Management, Insurance Management and Financial Planning. They are 6 month courses in partnership with leading institutions like Standard Chartered, Religare Macquarie etc.
