The "Pygmalion effect" suggests that people will behave the way you expect them to behave. IIFM has applied this wisdom in the manner in which faculty interacts with students. From the time that the student walks into the institute, they are treated as a practicing global manager. This means that we don’t just treat the student as a mature thinking individual but also expect our students to stretch themselves in the same manner as any professional manager would the world over in the best organizations and in the most competitive industries. This ensures that the student is ready for whatever challenges the corporate world anywhere across the globe will throw at them.

The painfully crafted curriculum, delivered by a combination of academicians, practicing top managers and domain specialists will ensure that IIFM students excel wherever they may be. The innovative curriculum design and the manner of imparting the education through relevant case studies, "living the concept" methodology, simulations and industry interface make sure that our students not only stay engaged while learning but internalize whatever they have learnt. This is the biggest advantage over Business programs where the typical PGPM student forgets whatever he/she has learnt within a year of graduating from the respective B-School. The "living the concept" methodology is unique to IIFM and has been tested by the leading behavioral and training experts in the industry for its effectiveness in learning and remembering what is taught.

Students have access to more than a 1,000 case studies and business simulations; thereby ensuring that they get introduced to most any situation that they will perhaps face in their future roles as global managers. While there is no substitute for first hand experience, the immense case study, simulations, role plays and "living the concept" approach ensure that the student is as well prepared for those experiences as he/she possibly can.

Use of video conferencing technology at the institute also allows students to gain from lectures from Professors across India and from the USA, while sitting in their classroom. This is apart from the lectures they attend from their own faculty in the classroom.
