Prof. Jagmohan Bhanver (Author of ‘Think your way to Millions’)
Jagmohan Bhanver has been a senior banker and has worked in various capacities across three of the largest banks in India, including two MNC Banks. Bhanver is also an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker and is considered a thought leader on building learning organizations and learning cultures. He is rated amongst the Top 20 management speakers (in coaching) in the world by the Worldwide Speaker’s Bureau. He wears various hats and is also a guest columnist with various publications, including the Times of India group.
Jagmohan has authored two books, both international best-sellers – his first book titled "Get Happy Now" has been an international bestseller and on the Top ten list of leading bookstores in India. His second book, titled "Think your way to Millions" on the subject of Behavioral Finance was nominated for the best non-fiction award by Hutch-Crossword in India too. This is the first book on behavioral finance in India and has had rave reviews from the industry. Jagmohan is a sought after Executive coach and Leadership mentor. He is referred to as the "Mentor’s Mentor" in corporate circles globally and has mentored Industry leaders, celebrity entrepreneurs, media people and top management at leading organizations. He is considered to be an authority on Leadership, Coaching, Mentoring & Negotiating.
As an educationist, Jagmohan visits several institutes on guest lectures, including the SP Jain Institute of Management Research in Mumbai. He is also on the Global advisory board of Thomas Jefferson School of Law, USA & the American Academy of Financial Management, USA. Prof. Nikhil Swadi (Ex JP Morgan)
Prior to joining the Indian Institute of Finance & Management as the Chief Executive Officer for the Equity Research & Investment Banking SBU, Nikhil was the Director of New Business Development at Western India Logistics. As a member of the senior management team, he was responsible for originating, developing, evaluating and recommending profit-generating initiatives based on consumer, customer and competitive trends. Nikhil has over 10+ years of experience on Wall Street. Most recently, Nikhil worked as an Equity Research Analyst at JPMorgan covering Healthcare Services. Prior, he worked at JPMorgan's Leveraged Finance group which is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing corporate finance transactions on behalf of corporate clients. He graduated from the University of Rochester with a high distinction and a citation in marketing from Simon Business School.
Prof. Nishant Garg (Treasury Operations - large Pvt Bank)
He is an MBA in finance His Specialization is in finance and Economics. He started his career as an Economist with Bank of America where he rose to the position of Investment Banker. His Teaching experience includes subjects like derivatives, security analysis, portfolio management, Investment Banking and economics. Nishant has been accredited as a brilliant teacher on Investment Analysis, Managerial Economics besides International Finance, Risk Analysis etc.
Prof. Prakash Karnik (Ex MD – IDFC Pvt Equity)
Prakash is a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His professional experience spans across 20 + years started with Unit Trust of India. After a 11 year stint with UTI he worked as a Director at Electra Partners Asia Private Ltd. This was followed by role of Managing Director at IDFC Private Equity. Currently he is working as Director at Orion Equity Advisors Private Limited. He has expertise in setting up venture fund, late stage investing and divestiture in Indian businesses, monitoring investments and business value enhancement.
Prof. Ketan Karani (Ex Head Research at Kotak Securities)
Prof. Ketan Karani is a Chartered accountant. He has worked as a senior vice president- research and business planning at Varun Industries. Prior to this, he was Vice President & Head of Research at Kotak Securities Ltd.
Dr. Prakash Mathure (Harvard Business School)
Dr. Mathure hails from Harvard Business School and has worked for several years in the international market at senior echelons. He is a Graduate in Engineering in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering & a Post Graduate in Production Engineering. He has done his MBA in Finance and Marketing from an Australian university & is a qualified CFA. He has completed his doctoral and post doctoral thesis from Harvard. He has 29 yrs of experience in senior positions in multinational companies in Australia, USA and India. He has been a visiting faculty for number of years in various Australian, New Zealand, USA universities for various management subjects in finance, marketing, general management and engineering.
Prof. R J Iyer (Ex Chairman SHCIL & former Executive Director, IDBI)
The Chief Academic Advisor at IIFM is Prof. RJ Iyer, who is the Ex-Chairman of SHCIL (Stockholding Corporation of India Ltd.) and an Executive Director at IDBI for more than 27 years. He has also won two Presidential awards and an award from Shrimati Indira Gandhi when she was the Prime Minister. Prof. Iyer is also on the board of several companies.
Prof. Pratibha Nadkarni (Masters in Law)
Ms. Pratibha Nadkarni has a distinguishing teaching career for over 35 years in various B- Schools, Colleges and Institutes. She is considered an authority in teaching Business law, Industrial Law and related subjects. She topped the University in Masters in Law. She has attended and chaired several conferences, seminars, symposia on the subject of Corporate Law.
Prof. Chitra Potdar (CFP)
Chitra specializes in the areas of financial planning. Her quest for professionalism and expertise in the field of financial planning made her pursue the course in Certified Financial Planning – and is a distinguished Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from Financial Planning Standards Board India, an august body of Financial Planners. She is also a Life Underwriter Training Council (LUTC) Fellow of – and a recipient ‘Certificate on Professional Ethics & Compliance’ by - The American College & The International Academy of Insurance and Financial management, U.S.A. Chitra has worked as a senior faculty at JBIMS, NMIMS, Welingkar, Chetna and IIPM. She is also a faculty at the Institute of Chartered Accountants. She is taking Financial Accounting and Advanced Derivatives.
Prof Rajan Gunabalan (Author of Security Anaysis)
Prof Rajan has fifteen years experience as a visiting faculty in the subject of Finance, Management and Law. As an educationist, Rajan visits several institutes on guest lectures, including the Bharti Vidyapeeth Institute Management & Reseacrh, IMT Pune, H.K College of Management Studies, RPIMS Institute of Management Studies and Research, Institute of Cost Works Accountants of India’s Coaching Centre.. He has practiced as an Advocate in the Bombay High court Corporate Law and Taxation Matters. He has worked as Legal Manager in MSPL –A Baldota Group Company. Rajan has authored and edited two books- Security Analysis & Portfolio Management and Principles of Management for Students of BMS.
Prof. Mrinal Todi (Wharton)
Mrinal Todi is an Analyst at India Alternatives. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Arcil, India’s leading asset reconstruction company, in its Fund Management Group. He has also done internships at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm, in Mumbai and New York, and at Lighthouse Funds LLC, a private equity firm focused on mid-market companies in India.
Mrinal has a Bachelor of Science in Economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
